RouterBOARD 433 + R52NM x2?

Wed May 25, 2011 3:21 pm

Hello!

I am about to setup a wireless network in a tower that is going to distribute internet and LAN to about 5 houses around it and for that I wanted to go with x2 R52NM on a simple RouterBOARD 433 (300MHz CPU). Is this possible or is the CPU to weak to even make a stable bandwidth of 50mbit/s?

That main thing is that I need a RouterBOARD with 2 radios that has the 802.11n standard @ a low cost!

All information and advice is highly appreciated!

Best regards,
Mattias

If at least one client will be with bad wireless signal, you might need that higher CPU.

Bad signal results in retransmits and delays, so some of the packets will need to spend more time in buffers/memory, that usually results in higher CPU load

Ah okey..

I think I will try this out, but I will lower the bandwidth so the CPU can handle it. It should at least handle around 30MBit/s!?
