Hardware for 1000 PPPoE connections?!

I need your opinion about a hardware that can stand for 1000 PPPoE connections, and Queue them.

Does anyone have experience with that amount (or more) PPPoE connections? Or maybe some can tell me how much a PPPoE connection with Queuing takes resources?

I want to change a existing router with a machine with Mikrotik installed in it.

Your best approach would be to do an RBPC (router board P C), The bandwidth requirement for that amount of pppoe connections, and the management thereof would be challenging, I use an RBPC for wireless, The extremely strong and stable as long as you stick to the approved hardware, on unproved hardware ive had great luck, obviously not all the hardware monitoring works as with approved hardware, but thats the only issue ive had.

Would recommend a top end LIC as well, and i have installed on IDE FLASH, but Hdd works just as well.

But i was asking for more detailed hardware specifications, something like how much ram memory do I need? what kind of processor should I get? I will for sure get good hard drive, even maybe SSD or will put them SATA disks in RAID mode, but I was thinking about RAM memory and Processor?

But you dont give any sensible metric.

1000 PPPOE is one side - what average bandwidth? 1000x1mbit is different than 1000x50mbit, which would be challenging to move on the other side (50gigabit).

Btw., SATA or SSD makes no significant difference you plan to log the data going through.

There will be 1000 PPPoE connections with 2mbit (1upload 1 download) bandwith.
