Mikrotik: RouterBoard RB1100AHx2 - CRASH

Thu May 17, 2012 10:43 am

hello
i have this board in network like Qos bridge for max 100Mbit.
And now we discover some reboots by critical error.
It is not regular. sometime after 12hours, sometime after 4days.

In log we can see only
system critical error - system rebooted because of kernel failure
system critical error - router was rebooted without proper shutdown (case1)

After first crash a was upgrade OS. Now is installed 5.14.

I was isolate RB from other network. RB have IP which isnt in the network a have no route to the internet. (attack prevent)
But problem come again.

Is it HW problem?

generate support output file and add description of tasks your router performs and send all of that to support@mikrotik.com

Try to use only port1-10. We see problems with the upper ports.

You have encountered a kernel panic. Kernel panics can be caused by many things, it doesn't mean your problem is similar. Please contact mikrotik support (support@mikrotik.com) with your supout.rif file. We will see what caused the kernel panic. Some times this can even be caused by non standard configuration.

Similar problem with RB1100 ROS 5.20. After change Queue Type on QOS Tree to "only hardware queue" RB go to kernel panic. :(
