RB44Ge

Fri Oct 12, 2012 8:30 pm

Should windows 7 64 bit using the default
Atheros AR8313 PCI-E Gigabit Ehternet Controller (NDIS 6.20) driver ??

Where can i teaming the adapters ?

As i know,
i can create teaming by using
BASC for broadcom chip network adapter
Proset for Intel chip network adapter

So, how about this card ?? Where i should go ?
I have bonding the ethernet port 4,5 in my RB1100ahx2, how about PC side ?

What is the advantage of using this card ? (i am now using)

sorry for my poor english
thank you

I believe he is looking for teaming software for the network card.

I do not know of any software for these chips to achieve this. You would want to do it by the OS and win7 doesn't have it natively

Windows 2012 supports teaming natively, no custom drivers needed.

Yes, I am looking for somwhere /software to teaming the RB44Ge in WINDOWS 7

I can find other chipset's software/driver can do, but not this card.

you'll be hard pressed. the card was created with the purpose of routerOS in mind. You would be better off getting a card from another vendor for your windows 7 machine

Sorry for resurrecting such an old thread but I completely disagree with this last statement.

I feel its only right for Mikrotik users to expect to get what is advertised and in the case of the rb44ge mikrotik clearly states that it works with windows. In practice they do not provide a driver and the generic qualcomm/atheros 8131 chip drivers are not suitable as in my case they keep bsod'ing my machine whenever i try to use the card and mikrotik has not replied to my support request.

Re-installed Windows Server 2012 and bonding to 2011l now works great.
