Groove 5Hn - Large number damaged!!

Wed Dec 12, 2012 10:11 pm

We've bought a stock of about 90 groove and it seems that thirty (30) are damaged.
We have sent to RMA and in the meantime bought another stock of 60 and still having problems!!

The problem is the Wireless TX that does not work or lose 20dB
I have noticed that in the units where the TX does not work the ethernet becomes hot

But most of these has a lower signal of 15-20dB in TX direction

In addition, we are finding that some of them fail after a few days of operation by disconnecting completely from the BTS caused of the Tx signal problem

We are Wisp and Imagine the inconvenience to the customer with an Internet service that does not work after a short time, and especially the cost of exit out a technician to change the antenna on the roof (knowing that it could happen again)

I ask, if it happened to others of you

ElBoxRf panel 23dB for distance 0-8km
Grid 30dB for distance 9-20km

When I preconfigure the Groove in Lab we use a simple omni connected to the N connector in the 30seconds when we run the configuration script

I have had the same problem and am about to RMA a whole load of them back to the distributor. This is a faulty batch in my opinion.

To be honest the Groove has been a design disaster for Mikrotik. They are very prone to flooding when the wind blows rain into the back of them.
