CCR1016-12G Ethernet Ports failing

Fri Mar 29, 2013 5:59 am

I just bought 2 CCR1016-12G from Streakwave to replace my RB1000AHX2(s).
got them configured properly and they have been running for 5 days.
Have a slight Problem.
Have 2 100Meg Ethernet channels connected to RB411U(s)

one on ether7, one on ether5.

on day 2 ether7 stopped working. so moved it to ether9
end of day 5, ether5 stopped working had to move it to ether10.

Put a Network monitor on the two dead Ethernet ports. They are receiving (and can be seen in torch), but
they are not transmitting, no signal,

Is there a problem with this new production?
do I need to go back to my RB1000AHX2(s)
???

Well that was interesting. Rebooted the router and the ports returned to working.
So a reboot solved that problem.

After 1 hour, I upgraded 1 unit to Version 6.0rc12 and upgraded the firmware to 3.05

Looks much better, but we will watch this closely.

can you please try generating the supout.inf file?

how long does it take to get the work done on a CCR in normal conditions?

I have a CCR1036RC12 in "crashed" state, I connected my backup router instead (RB1100AHX2), I don't need to reboot the CCR, I can investigate...

I push "make supout.inf" button, it starts but does not stop, it still says "Creating supout file. Might take a while..." after 20 minutes

Just bought the CCR1016-12G. I noticed that all the Ethernet port are showing active status both in RouterOS and on the LCD panel (link-ok) even though the Interfaces have no cable connected. The Router becomes unresponsive after about 24 hours and will need a reboot before I can access any of the Ethernet port. Anybody with this experience and resolution for the problem.

I have a ccr1016. Suddenly, I lost control over it. All ethernet port seems to work, but not really. On serial console shows that "link ok", but not any traffic going through it. The "ether12" port does not work boot on the net, can not find server. I tried a full system reset, but the phenomenon is the same. I tried to set port speed, it does not help. Do you have ideas for a solution? Router version 6.7
