i have a problem that i can not find any solution and i'm asking your help!
I have a RB493 which is working up to one year...suddenly last days if freeze and stop working....all light keep on and nothing working,i can not log in,i can not do anything. I remove Power it boot again and after 2-5 minutes it freeze again.
I tried last version 6.1 but again the same happens....any suggestion???

I have noticed that disabling mangle rules lowers the load and the problem has stopped happening
After having tried without any results updating the equipment in several versions, even having reinstalled it with netinstall the problem kept happening the ethernet interfaces were frozen and the only way to revive was to restart the routerboard, probe with routerboard 493 and 433ah

The rules that I had in mangle used layer7 protocols since I used queues to limit youtube bandwidth and other applications disable them and perfect I stop freezing
I share the information in case someone continues with the same problem

Hi mikrotik,
i have the freezing problem with round about 30 493g Boards now, which we purchased from 07/2017 till today. After a working time round about 6 Weeks the RB493G beginn to freeze, reboots and after 3-5 Minutes it freezes again, all Ethernet LEDs go out, no reaction on the serial port. No Autosupout File is present. In the Log is "Router rebooted without proper shutdown" shown. Older ones, which are purchased before 07/2017 do not seem to have the problem. When i boot the RB493G in Bootloader over the serial port, without loading RouterOS, it still freezes.

We noticed that the temperature in the system monitor health is over 70°, the ambient temperature was max 35°.

we too have the exact same problem! After an operation of about 3 months, 15 boards showed this problem, begin to freeze, reboots and after 5 minutes freezes again, when the ambient temperature is about 50 degrees, all Ethernet LEDs go out, only the power blue LED stays on.

We have already tried to install the recent versions of OS but the problem persists

It seems a problem in HW assembly / welding components, which is accentuated at high temperatures.

are you analyzing this problem?
