RB751U-2HnD stopped working

Thu Jul 11, 2013 4:04 pm

Hi,

Last night I came home and my router wasn't working anymore. The lights are flashing and the hardware seem to work.

I tried resetting by holding the RES switch while connecting the power, it didn't work.

I tried netinstall by holding the RES switch then connecting the power and releasing when the ACT light stops flashing. I was able to ping the BOOTP provided IP once but the router never shown in netinstall. I tried on windows 7 and on a fresh XP install.

Is there anything else to try?

If all LEDs are flashing, you must contact the seller to replace it, it has a hardware problem.

downgraded rb571u-2hnd from 6.1 to 6.0 then to 5.25. now my routerboard is not accessible. I tried to reset to factory. the result is that now the port where I plugged my laptop into MT flashes then suddenly all the leds except the wifi led flashes once then turn off again. then the same cycle repeat on and on. how can I recover or reset my MT.

Had similar problem, but mine is that the lights does not come on wen it powers up, but with netinstall, it shows error as the led light will light and reboot, then the whole lights will flash again and the connected port will come on, repeatedly.

This is the diagram of what i see when i tried using netinstall.
