No one is talking about this product. Maybe it will finish just like another good mtk products - only on paper :(
But if they start to sell it, I will change a lot of old ubnt rockets. Faster cpu, gigabit,... it looks good in theory...

Where or how did you get them? Are they prototypes? Or end products?
Many of us would like to see these hit the market now....

This is normal. Mikrotik Support says: Ask the distributors they know.
You ask distributors and they know nothing. So where is the problem?

Normis is right, as how can they be responsible for shipping and distributors ordering. Here is a local supplier who received stock today a lot farther from Latvia than you are http://www.scoopdistribution.co.za/prod ... ts_id=1462

Well, nice for you. I asked my provider in Poland and according to them they recieved no information whatsoever about new products yet. But maybe I have to ask them again to ask MT....

Not necessary, just tell them to read the distributor newsletter they received on the 10th July. I have issues with some of the Mikrotik designs and can get frustrated with some finishing touches on their products, but for communication they are the best out there. Their whole logistics is incredibly efficient in comparison to other suppliers.

Really? I'll bet some on this forum do not agree with you. And I must say communications could definately be better at times. Would'nt be the first time I just never, or after many days only, get an answer on questions I send through the support channel.
I don't know about other vendors but in nowadays world this can be done better......

@normis; Can you tell me if the rb-912 outdoors (and others forecasted for spring this year) are available to distributors in Europe? If so I will push my provider in Poland to deliver them..... I really need a duo chain 2,4Ghz AP in a box.

Devices are in transit, possibly the distributors don't want to list them until they have them in stock.

Re: RB-912 outdoor

Is the rb912G outdoor a multi channel unit (2,4 + 5Ghz) or do they come in either 2,4Ghz or 5Ghz?
My supplier has the 5Ghz now listed, but according to them a 2,4Ghz version is not even announced!

According the .pdf mentioned in this tread it (they) should be available already since April this year......

Normis, can you shine a light on this? Can we see a 2,4Ghz omni AP coming soon to the market or not?

And to be honest, why can't the Omnitik not come in a 2,4Ghz version? Would make a perfect solution for rural areas where not a lot of 2,4Ghz usage is around. I would order 2 or 3 straight away.... (I know, I know, not enough to build a production line for me only... :) but I'll bet there is plenty of use for it around the world. It would combine fine with the 2,4Ghz SXT's like the 5Ghz platform works very good too....)

HI, i have a question did anyone has a solution to fit RB912UAG-5HPnD-OUT on ubiquiti antennas ?
Mikrotik do you plan to have such a mounting bracketr ? I though it would ideally fit into ubnt antennas but it doesn't ,and chains are reversed.

You can mount it on the same mast, just below the antenna. You will just need little longer cables to connect it.

Just a question about the RB912UAG-5HPnD-OUT. Is it fine to leave the top part off?

I really don't want to bend the LMR's to make the cover part fit..

we have extensively tested this, there is no stress on the cable, you can safely use the cover. if you leave the top off, connectors are exposed to the rain, it depends on how you cover them.

In SXT chain 0 is Horizontal but you can't connect to ubnt antenna with leds on visible side because
ubnt has Horizontal on the ritght side and mikrotik on the left.

It would be nice if ubnt connectors and mounting place would fit to this microtik - i 've made a lot of plans to replace existing instalations but
now i have to consider buing this product or just usual 912 with external outdoor alubox

OK but this box in this situation doesn't have sense - UBNT makes cables to their antennas. if I have to play with R-PSMA i prefer make bigger alubox with N-connector and put a standard 912UAG in it. I use only RF 300 cable and it's too thick to make such a short patchcords. Another thing that r-psma are usually badly made - i was playing with them a long time ago with ovislink 5460 equimpent making patchords to antennas and I hate this small connectors.
Maybe it would be nice to consider to make good short cables to this units ? I'd like to connect it simple and firlmly. An aluminium/metall holder that fits to ubnt antennas instead of separate DIN rail mount -would be interesting or both if it is replaceble.

Think about how to fit it in UBNT antennas - because it would be the best microtik the world needs :)

So, if I understand well, you buy a unit in an outdoor casing, made for use outdoor, and than complain about its use indoor?? From what planet are you?
If you want similar powerfull router for indoor, buy an indoor unit. tjeehh, some people.....

On documentation aren't there available drawings, so the only way was to buy enclosure; on forum I've only heard outdoor enclosure it's "similar" to metalllic one (I suppose CA series), but what does "similar" exactly mean???

Then it's the only one enclosure I've seen (from MT) using DIN rail support and specific for RB912.
Have you ever seen DIN rail used outdoor? Me not.

I hope MT will provide in the future for DIN rail indoor enclosures.

Re: RB-912 outdoor

Please clarify what makes you disappointed about it? Just the size?

As oudoor, enclosure it's nice but there aren't suitable cases for indoor.
In this specific case (RB912) I have all-in-one routerboard plug-n-play (I use it with 3G card), so what's else?
I just think outdoor enclosure it's bigger than other routers brands to use indoor, enclosures with DIN mount are usually used as indoor.
But outdoor enclosure it's the only one available....

Have you considered other products that we have? For indoor, the RB951 is quite small.
DIN rail mount is quite universal, we provide it as an option, not the main mounting system

For indoor, the RB951 is quite small.
...but with no 3G card.

I already use RB951 with USB modem, but it's for other applications then RB912+3G card.
