Hello,
Any progress on when we can expect the CRS in our hands?
Sweet ... the CRS125-24G-1S-2HnD-IN is going to be a very nice option for small businesses.I just preordered 6 of them. They said probably 10-14 days.
I think you are over-complicating things.Normis, do we have any additional details on the total Switching Capacity on the new CRS125-24G units?
By saying "Fully manageable L3 switch, full wire speed switching" it comes across that this thing has 1000*2*25=50Gbps of forwarding performance, which would make it the best priced 25port non-blocking switch on the market. I'd appreciate any confirmation on performance and any block-diagram you might have available.
@ Normis, Thank you. Please look at the block diagram, for more details on how this device is made
@macgaiver, I am totally new to MikroTik hardware and software, so please excuse any ignorance on my part. That makes sense and is a simpler way to look at it. Assuming full duplex speeds then the switch side should be capable of a theoretical 50Gbps forwarding performance, while routing is limited to 1Gbps minus whatever hit it takes from the CPU.1) switch-chip hardware features (anyone knows a part number?) - these features will always run on wire-speed.
2) RouterOS v6 software features - these features are limited by CPU performance and connection speed between CPU and switch-chip.
Yep(anyone knows a part number?)
