Dear Mikrotik,

I have been a longtime purchaser or your products and even attended some of your training classes and MUM events in the USA. Today I get a call from my supplier, Titan Wireless, stating that a warranty request will not be honored for a RB800 that was pulled out of the brand new static bag, plugged into a POE-HP-48i power supply, and then it proceeded to go up in smoke. Mikrotik cause of failure, OVERVOLTAGE. I received an advanced replacement from Titan Wireless, that I now have to pay for, as well.

It is not my fault that this particular RB800 was defective, but I get to pay for 2 RB800 units. According to the spec sheets, the voltage range for an RB800 is 40 to 56 VDC. 50 VDC is well within this range. What gives?

Shame on you Mikrotik.

Before I would scold MikroTik I would try using ISP Supplies who is also a forum member.
