Sun Dec 08, 2013 11:24 am

Hi,

I have the challenge that in my region the available internet connection is thro 3G modem( WCDMA network ).
So i would like to use RB951Ui-2HnD i have here, to connect my 3G modem to available usb port in RB951, ad then config such that the internet can also available to any of Eth ports available in RB951Ui-2HnD, and then connect my camera and other IP based home appliance so that i can monitor them while im at office through VPN....

So, is there any one can assist this setup, what should in need to make this work using RB951Ui-2HnD?
Anyone please who did this setup before?

Thanks

It is a piece of cake to configure if your 3G modem is recognized by the system. In my case I just added an Access Point Name (APN) and enabled the ppp interface. I also added some firewall rules and a NAT rule for the ppp interface. Take a look at the default rules in your RB951Ui-2HnD and just change the interface to suit your 3G connection (probably ppp-out1).
