RB/1000 power consumption

Fri Dec 27, 2013 12:57 pm

Hello World !!!

Can someone tell me where I can find some specs for the RB/1000 ?
Looks like MT killed the archive on routerboard.com.
The datasheets I found just tell something like 10-28 V. Nothing about
power consumtion.
Does anyone know ?

The datasheets only state the maximum, not what the device actually uses - this may be fine depending on what you need the power consumption for.
Else, you will need to plug the router in to a power meter for a AC socket or use a multi-metre to measure the current. Simply looking at the DC power brick won't work as the sticker shows the maximum power it can deliver.
Another option: I don't have the RB1000 to test with, but if it has a voltage monitor + the current monitor, just multiply the current by the volts and this will tell you the power consumption.
