rb600 capacitors

Sat Jan 25, 2014 5:38 pm

Hi all,

I own a few RB600.
One of them stopped working after 3 years. I found the 5 small capacitors (560μF, 6.3V) were leaking.
I had them replaced, however even after that, the network cannot be enabled on the PoE port. I can attach another network cable on ether2 or ether3 and it works. On ether1 however it does not.

Is there anything more I should check before throughing this RB600 away?

Regards,

Costa

Hello ktsaou,
On ether1 however it does not.

Perhaps the entire lan port was burned and/or damaged. Can this be?

What caps did you taken as a replacement?
Solid caps?

Are they soldered correct in the RB600 or did you mismatch the
little legs from the caps and soldered them in a false direction on the board?
