Map2n boot firmware and various issues

Sun Sep 07, 2014 2:15 am

normally the boot firmware is on routerboard.com, i don't see it for the MAP?

activity indicators for the Lan ports are a joke, they are about 5 seconds behind, even on a link establishment

then blink 5 seconds behind at a steady pace

the wireless LED activity indicator does not have this problem

found another bug

6.19

make eth 1 master, eth 2 slave, only plug a cable into eth 2, and eth 1 lights up and show a link status in winbox 10 mbit

very weird, reversing does not do the same thing, eth 2 will not light up, supout sent to mikrotik

also can the poe out be used, when usb is supplying (2 amps behind) or does it not have a boost circuit?

also when attempting to use POE out for a picostation, forced on was required to boot the pico up, it was blinking weird on auto on, also showed no link

also should i be seeing values in the below picture or just powered on?

RouterBOOT is always in the RouterOS "RouterBOARD" package. If you have an up to date RouterOS, simply run "/system RouterBOARD upgrade".

The FWF file is only important to devices with COM ports (but they can also upgrade with the mentioned command)

via USB you can power only connected board, PoE-out is not available.

it is not capable of showing power consumption.

only option is status, where you can see if connected device is powered on, or other internal statuses of PoE-Out
