[Q] Power of CCR1016-12S-1S + and CCR1009 or redundant?

Thu Oct 23, 2014 10:01 am

Hello, all.

There are two tours connecting power cable port of CCR1016-12S-1S + and CCR1009-8G-1S-1S + but,
what's a redundant configuration of only when the cable is disconnected?
Or, what has become redundant also inside the power supply?

I think English might not be your native language, but I really can't understand what you are trying to ask.

If you are asking what failures it protects against it's both PSU failure and cable failure. If needed a higher voltage third source can also be connected using POE to provide triple failure protection.

If you could ask your question a bit more understandable we might be able to give a better answer! :D

Yes, it protects also against PSU failure

I am sorry. Writing style was bad. I have been redundant cable, but I wanted to make sure that it's redundant power supply unit also.

> Normis

Thank you for answer. It is known that the power supply unit is also redundant, I'm glad.

Regards.

it works by detecting change of voltage at the board. if voltage drops, it uses the other PSU. it doesn't know about cable, it only monitors voltage at the connector on the board.

Normis! How can I know - which PSU is working and which is "Dead"? On frontpanel we have only one blue led: "Pwr".. Is there possible some reaction thru software, like sending message to admins: "PSU Dead" or "No power on powerline #1"
