How to reset routerboard to default?

Tue Nov 25, 2014 8:20 am

My isp refuses to give me the login information for my Mikrotik router. He even tried to convince me it was not a router but a wireless access point and also refuses to port forward for me. I cannot change ISP's because there is no other ones where i live... anyone out there know of a way to reset the username/password or any other way of getting access to my router?? It is Mikrotik RB750 routerboard

Unplug the router, then push the reset button, power on the device while holding the button, when the USR LED starts to blink, release the button. This will reset the unit

Be prepared to loosing Internet connection. If you isp uses some kind of authentication set in the router, be prepared to pay for technical assistance. The best way is to negotiate, not to reset whole config, especially if you don't know what is set inside.

By the way, wireless access point and router is the same thing in this case. ISP is not wrong

No, device will not accept wrong files. I would guess that the issue is not related to the files. Netinstall should help either way

Hi Normis, I want to ask a question from you.

I want to connect a NanoBridge M5 to a Mikrotik AP? I have tried it, the NanoBridge detects it in the site survey, but it doesn't connects.

Do you know if I have to change anything in the configuration for connecting this? Please help
