wAP ac Mesh

Sat Jul 30, 2016 3:51 pm

Hey everyone,

So I am planning on installing a wireless network into an older building that I don't particularly want to pull writes. The building is is pretty old and is made of brick exterior and wood and plaster interior. I have access to the basement so I was thinking about installing a RB3011 in the basement and then wiring 2 or 3 wAP acs to act as my portal for my mesh. Then on the upper two floors install about 2 to 3 wAP to act as the mesh. I would use 5ghz as the backhaul and 2ghz for clients. Anyone done this? Thoughts? Suggestions?

Any examples of this? I was going to use dynamic wds and hwmp+

Hi, have you gone through with this?
I have a project where I will have to do something similar. I am also thinking of doing this with Wap AC and do the backhaul on 5GHz.
I thought of using Capsman on the 2,4GHz interfaces to manage the user access WLAN.
