Nstreme and customer MTU value drops to 1470 max

Mon Oct 09, 2006 5:00 pm

Hi all,

I use nstreme on point to point link and my nstreme frame limit is 3200.
beetween MTs mtu 1500 works fine, but on customer side max mtu is 1470.
How can I continue using nstreme and have 1500 MTU at customer size? Is it possible?
Any info is most welcome, thx...

Is it a hardware or software feature to support frames larger than 1500? Implementing this would then allow one to set PPPoE MTUs to the full 1500.

I'm guessing that since N-Streme can make a 4000 frame that it is a Mikrotik issue.

Could someone smarter than I confirm this for me?

I have set mtu on nstreme intarfaces to 1530 and I can use 1500 mtu now on customer side  stupid me...
Well, I thought it's better to ask if somebody else did it, then to try it on live link. Anyhow it's working...Cheers...
