CAPsMANv2, 5Ghz, no supported band

Mon Jun 05, 2017 5:17 pm

Hi, i am trying to configure capsman v2 on RB750r3 as central witch will manage two RBwAPG-5HacT2HnD.
2.4 Ghz works great but the problem is that 5Ghz shows as no supported band in CapsMan. This is my configuration:
/caps-man channel
add band=2ghz-b/g/n extension-channel=disabled frequency=2417 name=\
    channel-2Ghz tx-power=20 width=20
add band=5ghz-a/n/ac extension-channel=eCee \
    frequency=5785 name=channel-5Ghz width=20
/interface bridge
add name=bridge-1
add name=bridge-2
/caps-man datapath
add bridge=bridge-2 local-forwarding=yes name=datapath-2
add bridge=bridge-1 local-forwarding=no name=datapath-1
/caps-man configuration
add channel=channel-2Ghz datapath=datapath-1 datapath.bridge=\
    bridge-1 mode=ap name=cfg1 rx-chains=0,1,2 ssid=\
    "Mikrotik" tx-chains=0,1,2
add channel=channel-5Ghz datapath=datapath-2 mode=ap name=cfg3 \
    rx-chains=0,1,2 ssid="Mikrotik 5GHZ" tx-chains=0,1,2
/caps-man security
add authentication-types=wpa-psk,wpa2-psk encryption=aes-ccm \
    group-encryption=aes-ccm name=security1 passphrase=italia015
/caps-man configuration
add channel=channel-2Ghz datapath=datapath-2 datapath.bridge=\
    bridge-2 hide-ssid=no name=cfg2 rx-chains=0,1,2 security=security1 \
    ssid=Office tx-chains=0,1,2
add channel=channel-5Ghz datapath=datapath-2 mode=ap name=cfg4 \
    rx-chains=0,1,2 security=security1 ssid="Office 5ghz" tx-chains=0,1,2

Hi.

I think you have a configuration mismatch
5785 allow 20 Mhz channel from 5775-5795 so it couldn't support extension channel eCee for 80 Mhz cause it will be out of band. Select disable in extension channel
add band=5ghz-a/n/ac extension-channel=disabled frequency=5785 name=channel-5Ghz width=20

What country is set for WiFi ? Is 5785 allowed for this setting ?

BTW. Power 20 for 2.4GHz ... ???

I agree with BartoszP.

Check your country available channels here
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_WLAN_channels

And check your routerboard country channel.

The country is not set. Tried to set country that supports a band and receive same error.

I'm experiencing that same problem. Tried a few thing like setting channels and bands to different settings but none worked so far.
I'm using a hAP ac lite as CAP in conjunction with a RB2011UiAS-IN as CAPsMAN. Both on the latest Bugfix only Firmware.

Is there a fix for this?
