Connection with Cisco Aironet WGB

Wed Nov 22, 2006 11:04 am

Hi,

we've some Cisco WGB 350s out there we cant replace because they're
belong to our customers. But we want to replace the Cisco APs with
Mikrotiks.

So I need to make a connection with Cisco WGB 350s. I managed
to make working connections with mikrotik to 1200 APs and to 350
Bridges, but the WGBs do not forward traffic when connected to a
Microtik AP.

Anyone done this?

Stefan

You have to change the packet encapsulation and disable proprietary extensions - there's a blurb about it in the wireless manual if you need more details.

This can't be done with the WGB. The normal 350 bridges and 1200APs
have this configuration capability but not the WGB (WorkGroupBridge).
