QRT 5 PTP

Thu Mar 29, 2018 10:34 am

Hi Guys

I setup a PTP link using QRT5 over 5km for 155Mbps

I cant however go beyond 75Mbps Day and 100mbps Night (Bandwidth between AP and Station)

I have changed between Frequencies, Channel width and protocol

This is the best so far

Below is my config

Some thinks from my side:

1. Add Security to this link by enabling WPA2
2. Set your Country, until this is not done you are possible sending in bands you are not allowed to, and with too much power.

For Channel checking on 802.11an Devices you can also use Spektral scan.

open terminal

Type :

Interface wireless
spectral-history range=5100-5400 number=wlan1

Black is free
Red is used

But 155 Mbit Netto TCP are not possible with this devices!

No, it is possible to come close to 100MBit

With Mikrotik you are not able to reach 155MBit even lucky with ac Version.....

For this distance look for AF-5X
With this radio this is possible....

UBNT forum style help...useless.
None of these will help you boost the speed.
Your link should have -50 signal so you have a problem like bad alignment or obstacles.
Maybe you could try other channels and keep the power to max.
QRT is able to reach 150mbps in the wright conditions.
Also testing between the radios is a bad thing because the power to generate traffic will bring down the real speed. You should test between two computers. Maybe you already have 150mbps.

@Inox

150MBit TCP with QRT a/n (RB911g)???

Show it, we have a couple of them and about 10 for 5km shots!
Never see more then 80-90 MBits P2P with Mikrotik 802.11an

No difference 802.11 Nv2, nstream

up to 180mbps with 911G at 11km
The thing is if you test between boards, ~75mbps is what you get.

Here you go 11km link between 911 with 30dbi antennas and test between router and wireless station.
No hardware for iperf. Happy now?
