Can I use a wAPac 2.4/5GHz to my fibre router?

Tue May 22, 2018 6:07 pm

Hi chaps,

So I bought a wAPac 2.4/5GHz outdoor router a couple of days ago to provide wireless to 2 apartments on our property.

All I want to do is plug the unit into a LAN port on my fibre router and put it against the wall outside to act as an access point with its own SSID and password, on 2.4 and 5GHz. I've tried everything but this this is quite obviously for people that have been blessed with more brain cells. I've abused Google to no end to find answers but have come up empty handed... I thought my ASUS router had a lot of settings and options but this thing is next level.

Is there a simple way to do this?

Does the fibre router give out IP addresses or do you need to set up a PPPOE account on the WAP?
