PTP Link SXTSQ 5 AC

Mon May 28, 2018 10:45 pm

Hailing from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, I am using a pair of the above mentioned AP's for a PTP link.

Link is 100 Meters. Clear line of sight, Fresnel is clear, and I get 130MBPS with both the TCP full duplex, and real work TCP/IP Tests from a PC. Is this the speed to be expected from these units?

I am using 80211 because Nv2 would constantly drop packets. My DB is low but changing the DB did not change anything.

Here are my configs:

station 1:

# jan/03/1970 04:16:33 by RouterOS 6.42.2
# software id = 2FTV-IFG7
#
# model = RouterBOARD SXTsq G-5acD
# serial number = 89900881636B
/interface bridge
add fast-forward=no name=bridge1
/interface wireless security-profiles
set [ find default=yes ] supplicant-identity=MikroTik
add authentication-types=wpa-psk,wpa2-psk eap-methods="" management-protection=\
allowed mode=dynamic-keys name=farm supplicant-identity="" \
wpa-pre-shared-key=bullshit wpa2-pre-shared-key=*****
/interface wireless
set [ find default-name=wlan1 ] band=5ghz-onlyac channel-width=20/40/80mhz-XXXX \
disabled=no mode=bridge security-profile=farm ssid=Backhaul \
wireless-protocol=802.11
/ip hotspot profile
set [ find default=yes ] html-directory=flash/hotspot
/interface bridge port
add bridge=bridge1 interface=wlan1
add bridge=bridge1 interface=ether1
/ip address
add address=192.168.1.31/24 interface=bridge1 network=192.168.1.0
/system routerboard settings
set silent-boot=no
/tool bandwidth-server
set authenticate=no

And second station:

# jan/03/1970 04:20:49 by RouterOS 6.42.2
# software id = 41BR-NDN5
#
# model = RouterBOARD SXTsq G-5acD
# serial number = 89900851867E
/interface bridge
add fast-forward=no name=bridge1
/interface wireless security-profiles
set [ find default=yes ] supplicant-identity=MikroTik
add authentication-types=wpa-psk,wpa2-psk eap-methods="" management-protection=allowed mode=dynamic-keys name=\
farm supplicant-identity="" wpa-pre-shared-key=bullshit wpa2-pre-shared-key=*******
/interface wireless
set [ find default-name=wlan1 ] band=5ghz-onlyac channel-width=20/40/80mhz-XXXX disabled=no mode=\
station-bridge security-profile=farm ssid=Backhaul wireless-protocol=802.11
/interface bridge port
add bridge=bridge1 interface=wlan1
add bridge=bridge1 interface=ether1
/ip address
add address=192.168.1.32/24 interface=bridge1 network=192.168.1.0
/system identity
set name=Barn
/system routerboard settings
set silent-boot=no

The bandwidth server was no in use.

From your rates I'm guessing you are on 20mhz but you need more if you want higher throughput.

This new XXXX option I'm guessing it tries to automatically set the best control frequency, but in any case it's a new development and I haven't found documentation for it, so try manually setting the required control channel. That's the C in between the eees. For example try setting eCee on both sides. Once connected you can play with different channels and different control frequencies for each 80mhz channel, until you get the best performance.

Mistry7, I have a wireless wire for another application, just pushing the SXTSQ's.

Networkfudge, I currently have the channel width set to 20/40/80MHZ XXXX, according to what I can read, I need to set it to eCee?

I have no other 5GHZ networks around.

Please advise.

Hmm. Under Status I get this now:

5200/20-eCee/ac(14dBm)

Still 20khz? Or am I missing something?

Hi,

sorry I'm not able to test it, we send all SXTsq and LHGac back to Distribution and changed it to the older ones because of bad wireless performance.

My personal "tests" show nstreme gives higher throughput. Can you post a screen of the registration table?
