Network Design Question - 1 vs 2 /24

Tue Sep 11, 2018 2:22 am

Hello,
I am looking for feedback and suggestions on how to create a better network setup.
I don't have a ton of experience, so that is why I'm seeking your help in this forum.

I deploy a temporary network setup, as shown on the image below.
This setup lasts 5 days, at which time it is dismantled until next event.

[[ current setup map ]]

My question: Would it be better (performance? reliability?) to create two separate networks, on both sites?
Equipment:
Mikrotik RB951G (two)
Mikrotik SXT5 antennas (two)
Mikrotik DynaDish antennas (backup, not used if everything works fine)

The Mikrotik SXT5 antennas, are setup as a bridge (as per this Mikrotik wiki link).

Would it be better to have two networks in the deployment?
If so, how would I configure the Mikrotik SXT antennas?
Would they be setup once again on bridge mode?

Thank you.

Of cource it would be better in multiple subnets.

Better 3 VLAN, but could be two too.

3 vlans:

Admin access
Ethernet switches + Wireless
Wi-Fi users

2 vlans:
admin + ethernet + wireless
Wi-Fi users.

but I highly recommend 3 vlans.
