Bad bandwidth performance hAP ac

Tue Sep 11, 2018 5:09 am

Hi, My ISP provides 400Mbps
Directly connected by cable to the gateway I get 400+Mbps speedtest
Wired through the Mikrotik hAP ac I can't get that speed, max about 250Mbps (Gbps LAN card)
WiFi I get max 150Mbps when connected to the 5G signal and doing a speedtest.net from my DELL E5470 notebook with Intel Wireless-AC 8260 WiFi card (2x2 antenna) with latest drivers

It's not the first time I get worse throughput through Mikrotik than directly from the ISP's gateways.
Why does this happen?
What should I do to get max speeds?

Regards,

Rafael.

Thanks Adahi, is this the reason of why I get not even half of my ISP's broadband speed?
If this is the solution, how is it implemented?
Shouldn't this be acivated by default?
I permanently install and recomend Mikrotik routers, but many users are not happy of having considerable low bandwith going through the router with default configuration and 100% speed directly from modem.
I haven't been able to give them a good explanation.
Regards.

Thank you this solved my problem as well. Got upgraded to 300Mbps by the ISP and I was frustrated that I could only get around 150Mbps over either wifi or cable from my hAP ac.

Enabled fasttrack and now I measure @ 300 Mbps.
