Mikrotik RB962UIGS wifi speed problem

Tue Sep 18, 2018 1:43 pm

I have Mikrotik RB962UIGS and wifi speed problem.
My connection WAN is 100 Mbit/s and cable LAN speed is OK about 98 Mbit/s.
I have my MacBook Pro 13 2017 connected to this Mikrotik 5GHz and my connect is good condition.
I have max only 75-80 Mbit/s I don't know why... my MacBook I have 2 meters from Mikrotik.

Maybe someone will tell me how to fix it so that I would have about 100Mbit/s after wifi?

Bring it further away. Try other wifi frequency in settings. Make sure you have all 3 chains enabled.

Turn off auto frequency. Select fixed channel, e.g. 5180 MHz.
Don't use 802.11a mode if you don't must. Set n and ac.

Yes, now the settings are correct. If it still goes wrong, try changing the width or channel (frequency).

This setting is good in itself. It all depends on the use of channels in your area.
I use the 20/40 ce channel in 802.11n mode and at 100Mbit/s from the provider I reach 96 - 97 Mbit/s.

I don't have 5GHz networks in my area so I should have about 100 Mbit/s wifi speed no problem... I check it when will be in home, thanks.

I tried different settings but all the time I have max 75-80 Mbit/s.
I don't know why...
I went with the Macbook next to Mikrotik and all time I have the same.

Wired connection I have 98-100 Mbit/s.
