802.11af

Fri Oct 05, 2018 6:35 am

Hello All,

Does MikroTik have any devices that support 802.11af wireless networking standard? I've tried doing a search, but all I end up with is a whole bunch of hits on people mistakenly using 802.11af (the WiFi standard) as the key phrase when they really mean 802.3af (the PoE standard).

The reason I'm asking is because I think it would be useful for some industrial applications where you might want wifi delivery on a forklift that's bombing around out in the yard behind a factory or a warehouse. A good example of where this would be useful is a lumber yard because the lower frequencies could penetrate the lumber a lot better than 2.4GHz could and it shouldn't be as crowded of a spectrum as 900MHz (802.11ah).

Thank you.

Normis you can support it in markets where there are no standards for Wi-Fi regardless of standards, I can test an 802.11af standard in MikroTik LtAP LTE kit form factor I will commit to buy 1,000,000 units exclusively.
