Hello dears!
Faced an interesting problem.
Configured capsman (without local forwarding). Network, broadcasting on the points fall on it in their bridges. Everything works.
I wanted to use capsman not as a gateway and purely as a controller, so that customers accessed the Internet through a third-party gateway.
The scheme is simple:
Capsman (CHR) - Gateway (CHR) - the Internet.
There are vlans between capsman and the gateway, which include wireless clients of different networks.
If the gateway for the client to specify the interface on capsman - OK.
But if the gateway I specify the IP address in the same Vilan BUT on the GATEWAY (the interface is created in the desired Vilan and it is assigned an IP address from the same network as the clients) - FAIL!.
Noticed an interesting fact - from the gateway when viewing table Mac addresses on a specific vilane - on capsman side we can see only one address - the address of the bridge. I have the feeling that capsman "hiding" all the Mac addresses of the wireless clients behind it's own address.
Maybe someone faced with similar? Any solutions?
