Firstly I apologize if this was discussed in another post... Maybe I used the wrong search keywords. Please point me to the right thread if this is the case.
Even bandwidth sharing for all clients. There are many articles and threads on this topic and it is quick easy to accomplish IF you know the amount you want to share.
Bandwidth can be very iffy with wireless, if datarates are dynamically adjusting (sometimes by the second) with a wireless backhaul, how can you configure a fixed amount of bandwidth on a queue to share for clients downstream?
I will use the example of a 100Mb on a router that services 50 clients. This router on a busy day can evenly share that 100Mb to the 50 clients at 2Mb per client. But when the upstream backhaul link drops below 100Mb what happens? How does this really effect the even share policy established with a queue for 100Mb?
How are you guys dealing with this dilemma?
