256QAM and AC provisioning on 2,4GHz

Fri Mar 22, 2019 11:28 am

Hello, I would suggest a todo task to new versions of HW to enable 802.11AC pattern to band of 2,4 GHz, including 4*20GHz channel list. Here are tests on cAP HW with IPQ4019

The now time SW solves 802.11N pattern only, which brings 20/40MHz channell and 64QAM only, which is the PHY layer max. 300Mbit /2HT, which is maxing as high as 230-240Mbit on L2
If MT will bring up the AC baseband pattern to 2,4GHz, it will be able to make PHY layer 433Mbit instead of 300Mbit in 40MHz 2HT channel, which is is almost 340Mbit L2 by our experience and 680Mbit channel in 80MHz channel, which can be very useful for rural areas, mountains etc, where low frequency are essential.
Here you can see how it works in real on 5GHz..
Then it would be very helpful to make channels by 10MHz bandwidth increment.

Sounds like you're asking for 802.11ax...

Not really ax. is other branch of IEEE standardization. This is Standard deviation, almost like NV2 etc..
