Hi guys.
I'm setting up a 5.8GHz point to point link with some LHG HP5 units. I've just discovered they don't do AP Bridge mode.
From what I understand, I set one as bridge, the other as station bridge - if I was setting up a layer 2 bridge. Then setup a software bridge between wireless and ethernet interfaces.
Because I don't need a layer 2 bridge, can I just skip setting up a software bridge and just assign a separate subnet and IP on the ethernet interface and wireless Interface, as if it was a layer 3 router at each end? If so, do I still setup one as a station-bridge, or just a station? I know one must be bridge mode.
Thanks in advance.
Gavin.
