Long Range using Two Metal 52 ac Radios

Thu Aug 01, 2019 11:44 pm

Hi all,

I'm trying to maximize my outdoor range (line of sight) of my P2P connection using two Metal 52 ac radios and two omnidirectional antennas (one 8 dbi and the other 3 dbi).
Currently, both radios have been set up with 802.11, Nstreme, and NV2 protocol, but all connections seem to provide the same range and power levels.

I've set both radios to the 2.4GHz band, 20MHz channel spacing, 802.11 protocol and set it to only use Channel 1 (2412), 6 (2737), and 11 (2462).
Frequency mode is set to "regulatory-domain", the right country, and antenna gain.

I'm using this set up to stream an IP camera that's in motion, but always in line of sight. I'm currently able to stream a clean signal of 720p at 300 meters, then 480p at 500 meters.
Ideally I would like to get anywhere from 750 m to 1 km. IS tehre another way/configuration to extend my range or have I maximized the range with the equipment I have?
