It seems in firmware greather than 6.44.4 it is in some OmniTIK 5 (only the r2 models) devices not possible to select the installation type to "Indoors" when the county is set to a country in Europe.
I asked this question why at support this was the reply:
"The device is manufactured for outdoor usage and that is why the device is specified as an outdoor product."
In the setup we use these OmniTIK devices they are indoors, and chose OmniTIK because they have a stong housing with internal antenna's, which cannot be configured in a nice way with a new firmware.
Which of the options should be better for me:
- Not upgrading the fimware anymore (6.44.4) altough one version up has soem CVE fixes
- Setting the wireless to
- Frequency Mode: superchannel
- Country: no_country_set
- TX Power: all rates fixed (15dBm)
- Switching to (local/on device) CAPsMAN with the correct country set (CAPsMAN does not have the indoor/outdoor limitation introduced in the new firmwares)
