This is the config for wireless interface

/interface wireless
set [ find default-name=wlan1 ] band=5ghz-a/n country=no_country_set disabled=\
no frequency=auto frequency-mode=superchannel ssid=MikroTik-F511E5 \
tx-power=10 tx-power-mode=all-rates-fixed wireless-protocol=nv2

Here is the output for frequecy-monitor

[admin@MikroTik] /interface wireless> frequency-monitor wlan1
FREQ USE NF
5260MHz 0% -111
5280MHz 0% -108
5300MHz 33.6% -111
5320MHz 0% -108
5745MHz 0% -115
5765MHz 0% -116
5785MHz 16% -116
5805MHz 0% -117
5825MHz 0% -118

Did MKT change the default install for the Disc Lite to "outdoor" ? MKT tends to restrict more and more the rules per regulatory domains, with every new release.

[admin@hAPac2] /interface/wireless/info> country-info
country: no_country_set
ranges: 2402-2472/b,g,gn20,gn40(30dBm)
2417-2457/g-turbo(20dBm)
5170-5250/a,an20,an40,ac20,ac40,ac80,ac160,ac80+80(17dBm)/indoor
5250-5330/a,an20,an40,ac20,ac40,ac80,ac160,ac80+80(23dBm)/dfs,passive
5735-5835/a,an20,an40,ac20,ac40,ac80,ac160,ac80+80(30dBm)/outdoor
5190-5230/a-turbo(17dBm)/dfs,indoor
5230-5310/a-turbo(23dBm)/dfs,passive
5740-5820/a-turbo(30dBm)/dfs,outdoor
5180-5260/a-turbo(17dBm)
5260-5300/a-turbo(23dBm)/dfs,passive
5745-5825/a-turbo(30dBm)
902-927/b,g,g-turbo,gn20,gn40(30dBm)

In the specs:
- DISC Lite5 (International) supports 5150MHz-5875MHz range (Specific frequency range can be limited by country regulations).

As @bpwl said, most likely some restriction on the new ROS caused that to happen...

In all fairness, MikroTik is being told by national governments to obey more and more restrictions to obtain certification to sell in that country. Gone are the days when the end-user engineer was responsible for complying with local regulations, and MikroTik was totally flexible.

Yes, fully agree with the action to be compliant. Even hope that others do it a bit faster. It's very frustrating to be confronted on holiday resorts with this +20dBi overpowerd omnidirectional AP's. And even shops selling proudly that one strong AP they found on the market, and claiming it is a unique feature, to have better wifi than anyone else . (" Your neighbourgs and the camping owner may complain, but ...."). It's even totally false that claim, they are actually only jammers.

Never the less , changes could be in the changelog. So one is not surprised something stops working when upgrading. Locking down a device to be "outdoor" only should be documented.

Frankly, I'm flabbergasted to learn that anyone is deploying Discs indoors. Then again, with all units I have had with split casings, maybe that is the best place to deploy them. :D

They might deploy them outdoors, e.g. to a wAP ac 5 , which can use indoor frequencies. The other thing is, if you can use the indoor frequencies, they probably avoided the DFS channels. Indoor frequencies in that case are illegal, but if it is working, an upgrade maybe should not stop it without warning.

I use outdoor frequencies on a wAP ac 5 , because it is 7 dBm stronger than the indoor regulation to pass wall and ceiling in indoor ptp.. On the other hand a SXTsq is a very poor behaving ptp indoors. Even an Omnitik has less overall performance than a wAP in that setup.
