Hello
I upgrade a disc lite 5 to 6.46.4 firmware and the lost the connection to the Ap
When I do a freq scan, only a few set of frecuency appear, even if I set super channel mode
In all fairness, MikroTik is being told by national governments to obey more and more restrictions to obtain certification to sell in that country. Gone are the days when the end-user engineer was responsible for complying with local regulations, and MikroTik was totally flexible.MKT tends to restrict more and more the rules per regulatory domains, with every new release.
Yes, fully agree with the action to be compliant. Even hope that others do it a bit faster. It's very frustrating to be confronted on holiday resorts with this +20dBi overpowerd omnidirectional AP's. And even shops selling proudly that one strong AP they found on the market, and claiming it is a unique feature, to have better wifi than anyone else . (" Your neighbourgs and the camping owner may complain, but ...."). It's even totally false that claim, they are actually only jammers. In all fairness, MikroTik is being told by national governments to obey more and more restrictions to obtain certification to sell in that country. They might deploy them outdoors, e.g. to a wAP ac 5 , which can use indoor frequencies. The other thing is, if you can use the indoor frequencies, they probably avoided the DFS channels. Indoor frequencies in that case are illegal, but if it is working, an upgrade maybe should not stop it without warning.Frankly, I'm flabbergasted to learn that anyone is deploying Discs indoors. Then again, with all units I have had with split casings, maybe that is the best place to deploy them.
