I deployed a Mikrotik wireless wire, and I love it.
That being said, I want to run a 5GHz PtP link as a backup in case bad weather takes down the 60GHz link going to my shed.
Distance is 100 meters at the most.
I am totally lost on which Mikrotik antenna/radio to buy. There are so many models, also I'm still quite new to PtP.
Some products look like home phones (square) and seem to be used with antennas is that what a radio does? While others like my Wireless Wire seem to be radio + antenna all in ones. Is there a reason to separate the two? Is that what integrated AP or backhaul means? I'm use to AP meaning indoor access point like Ubiquiti UAP-AC or Wap AC.
Sorry for the dumb questions, I'm quite new to this whole PtP stuff. Google hasn't helped me on this one, I assume because it's more niche/complicated.
Thank you for all the help, love Mikrotik and it's forum is always incredibly helpful.
