wlan1: [MAC] requires more rates than we support

Mon Jun 08, 2020 11:37 pm

I was not able to connect as a client to my 2,4 GHz home router (from UPC/Vodafone provider) from my Mikrotik RB433 router with AR5213 card even other devices at home has no problem (phones, notebooks, tablets of various kinds).

When i turn on wireless logging, i saw:
wlan1: [MAC] requires more rates than we support
I try to enable all rates available with no luck.
I found here a post about a bug in firmware so I decided to upgrade to the latest stable/current and problem was solved (on 2.4 GHz).

But I'm still unable to connect to the same 5 GHz home network router with the sam error message even latest current/stable version (6.47 or 6.45.9).
Seems like the bug persist on 5 GHz - viewtopic.php?t=94930

Same here, connecting to Archer C6 with this error. I'm using RB333, AR5413, 5Ghz A, RouterOS 6.47.
Interesting thing is that I replaced ancient RB532 with 5.26 firmware, which was able to connect to this wlan without any issue.
Also, when I set the interface to wds slave, it is able to briefly connect, but this mode is not a station, so this is a no go.

I had to downgrade to ~2 years old RouterOS to be able to connect to 5 GHz network.
There is no change even I tick on all data rates (or default) on Wireless - Data Rates.
[admin@MikroTik] > /system logging
[admin@MikroTik] system logging> add topics=wireless,debug action=memory

And log messages:
[admin@MikroTik] /log> /log
[admin@MikroTik] /log> print
...
