Connecting a “dumb” old 2.4 ghz devices

Sat Oct 10, 2020 10:21 pm

Recently I had to replace HUAWEI wireless router for MikroTik RBD53G-5HacD2HnD&EG18-EA and now I’m having problems with connecting a “dumb” old 2.4 ghz devices - Samsung M2020 printer and Xiaomi lamp. Both are not connecting with the “disconnected, unicast key exchange failed” message in the log. On the device side error is “access security error”. Other devices are connecting fine to this 2,4 ghz. network. It gives me nothing to dig deeper.
MikroTik seems to be very advanced and I would like to ask for some tips how I can troubleshoot this or what I can change in wireless settings.

I had same problem, m2026 samsung printer wasn't able to connect to my mikrotik device, “disconnected, unicast key exchange failed” appear in the logs, I did solve by disabling TKIP - CIphers in the security profile and changed group key update interval to 1 hour, you can try if this will work for you as well

cheers
