That won't work nicely, any MIMO radio is designed so that all (both) antennae cover the same area so that they experience same interference pattern.
In your case, the areas covered by each of antennae could have uncorrelated interference. This could mean even less air-time available. E.g. there's an alien AP down the first street, operating on same channel as your AP. When that alien AP decides to transmit (or its client), your AP will command its clients silence on channel ... and that will halt also clients on the perpendicular street which might be interference-free.
