Output Power too high

Fri Jan 15, 2021 2:49 pm

Hello,

i think i found a problematic bug with the country regulation and in combination with CAPsMAN.
If the setting no_country_set is used in CAPsMAN, i think the secure values of the CAPs are overwritten.
When using this setting the mean lifetime of severals wAP ac is about 6 months. In other posts on this forum i read, that the output power can not exceed the save level. How is this possible?
I think a wAP AC should only send with a max. power of 25dBm, when actually using no_contry_set it is 30dBm.

When setting the country regulation to a country and activating the option reselect intervall, the output was correct to regulations, but still too high for a wAP ac and it died now about a year after purchase.

I think you should communicate this directly with support@mikrotik.com ... probably they'll want supout files from both units (CAPsMAN manager and CAP device) to verify that CAP device is indeed transmitting at power higher than HW limit.
