Help finding compatible wireless networking card?

Sun Apr 18, 2021 10:35 am

wondering if anyone could help me find a compatible wireless networking card for my 4 year old PC. I used to be really into pc hardware, but have forgotten just about everything. Don't shame me please.
I have the Asus x99-A II LGA2011 motherboard with i7-6700k. I used to have a USB wifi adapter and it was trash, so I want to get a PCIe card. Can anyone suggest a compatible card, preferably straight-black or black/white? Thanks

Hi, not a mikrotik question i guess but:

depends on what country you're living in and for what countries those devices you choosing from were made for:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_W ... te_note-28

basically any wi-fi PCIe card with 5GHz support(if your wireless router\access point supports 5GHz at all) made for your country market with the most antennas gain possible and which have driver compatible with operating system you're using (windows\linux, not all NEW chips are supported by linux kernel out of the box, check the reviews and other users experience before buying )
