Issues Link Net Metal 5 mistake configuration

Thu May 13, 2021 1:58 pm

Hello guys, I hope everyone is doing well. So, I have a problem with a Mikrotik link, where I don't have much experience. The scenario is as follows, two NetMetal 5, long-term version 6.47.9, both working at 40mhz in 5GHz-A/N band, this link is 4KM, in Status on the client antenna I have the following information:
TX rate between 120mbps oscillating to 180, Rx Rate 240mbps oscillating to 270
Tx / Rx Signal Strength -36/32 oscillating 5dbm above or below.
Tx / Rx Signal Strength Ch0: -42 / -36
Tx / Rx Signal Strength Ch1: -37 / -35
Noise Floor -113 dbm
Signal to Noise 82dbm
Tx / Rx CCq 58/70

Now then my doubts. Before we discuss more advanced issues, I would like to start with the basics, these antennas for this 4km link, I left the Tx power in default, are they too strong for this link and should I download the tx power? If so, how can I do that, do I use all rates fixed or card rates? And how much dbm should I put there?
Second information, should I work in AC?
For now this is it guys, thank you very much, after being able to help me with these basic parts, I go through the data rates and HT MCS part as this, because the old technician changed several information in these fields.
Since thank you very much.
