Wireless dropping to 2 of many devices

Tue Aug 10, 2021 10:15 pm

HI all, I'm new to Mikrotik and I have a problem with two of the wireless devices attached to the wireless router.
Both connect and disconnect regularly. One is a Dell laptop, the other an iPhone.
Looking at the logs suggests to me that the devices, rather than the router, are the problem, disconnecting themselves. But I would like to check.
It seems very odd that this should happen to two devices, not one, or all.
Here's a relevant extract:

At times, the signal strength looks low, but the disconnects seem to happen when it's better as well.

Thanks for any observations,

Sorry for the delay, my daughter uses the devices and she's now away.
But I believe the problems occurred while using them.

EDIT - In addition, the problems occurred in various parts of the house where other devices have no problem. I suppose it's still possible that both have poor antennas and voluntarily disco because of that. But the log I posted shows them discoing with reasonable signal.

Difficult to find why client disconnects. I see quite often a DHCP deassign of the IP address. No IP address is one of the possible reasons why a client is dropping the connection.
By the log also says "deauth", so check the security profile (if you have multiple AP's with the same SSID, the security profiles must fully match (WPA/WPA2, TKIP/AES)
