First of all, thank you all for this great forum. There is really plenty of information in here and it’s great to see the community helping each other.
Now it’s time for me to bother you all with my issue. Unfortunately, I have no idea anymore how to solve it.
My “lab-setup” is quite simple. I’ve a HEX POE (RB960PGS) configured as the CAPsMAN and two wAP ACs (RBwAPG-5HacD2HnD).
The config is straight forward without anything fancy:
Code: Select all
[admin@HEX] >> caps-man export hide-sensitive

# software id = Z5C2-3JD9

1. Band-Usage
I’m in Germany and have set the country to Germany.
Code: Select all
[admin@HEX] > in wireless info country-info germany
ranges: 2402-2482/b,g,gn20,gn40(20dBm)
2417-2457/g-turbo(20dBm)
5170-5250/a,an20,an40,ac20,ac40,ac80,ac160,ac80+80(23dBm)/passive,indoor
5170-5330/a,an20,an40,ac20,ac40,ac80,ac160,ac80+80(20dBm)/dfs,passive,indoor
5250-5330/a,an20,an40,ac20,ac40,ac80,ac160,ac80+80(20dBm)/dfs,passive,indoor
5490-5710/a,an20,an40,ac20,ac40,ac80,ac160,ac80+80(27dBm)/dfs,passive
5190-5310/a-turbo(20dBm)/dfs
5180-5300/a-turbo(20dBm)/dfs
5520-5680/a-turbo(27dBm)/dfs,passive
5510-5670/a-turbo(27dBm)/dfs,passive
902-927/b,g,g-turbo,gn20,gn40(30dBm)
When I’m selecting basically everything besides the 20 MHz bands at the frequencies “5160, 5180, 5200 and 5220“
e.g. the 40MHz
OF_5_1: selected channel 5190/20-Ce/ac/P(23dBm) (fixed)
WZ_5_1: selected channel 5230/20-Ce/ac/DP(20dBm) (fixed)
Or the 80MHz
OF_5_1: selected channel 5210/20-Ceee/ac/DP(20dBm) (fixed)
Everything shows perfectly in CAPsMAN. But the devices are not broadcasting at all: Only when I select one of the 20MHz channels, I can see everything broadcasted But this brings me to my other issue:
2. Connecting to this SSID
When I have selected one of the 20MHz channels, I cannot connect to this SSID at all. I’ve also tried to connect with different devices. But absolutely no luck. I can see the SSID, but no chance to connect.
I’ve tried some debugging to see what the issue might be. But I can’t see anywhere any logs (after changing the wireless logs to debug in the log config - https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:System/Log). Not on the CAPsMAN, nor on one of the APs.
The identical configuration "of everything else", but only on 2,4GHz works perfect.
Has somebody any idea what I’m missing to get 5GHz up and running?
Thank you all in advance!
