Anything is possible but if the external wifi AP is not MT, I have my doubts as to the success, but to me that is moot, the connection throughput via WIFI would be very poor coming out of the external wifi device even if an MT device but the requirements are not clear not what equipment we are talking about.
At least you have two chains so presumably you have two separate WLANs, one lets say ch1 for the wifi external device and lets say 12 for the local client.
The ethernet port is 10/100 so dont expect high speeds on attached devices.
