I can configure a radio on Routerboard as Access Point.
I want only Routerboards may access to the access point avoiding I can access through notebook or desktop wireless cards: is it possible?

Greetings!

Are you looking to set up a point-to multipoint bridge? If so, then set up the main access point as an ap-bridge, and the rest as stations. My fav for security on this is wep and no ssid broadcast from the ap-bridge.

If that is not what you are looking for, please be a little more specific about your needs.

Thanks for answers!
I have a network for remote weather stations: I've been using two types of radios (for point-to-point link or point-to-multipoint).
I'm changing all network radios with routerboards, so I can use a unique device and configure it as needed: the easyest way would be having only two configurations (access-poin and end-point).
To make a more flexible system I would like to use the radios on routerboard as access-point, so I just have to decide if a radio is access-point or end-point, avoiding to enter particular configurations (as entering MAC address as bridge configuration etc. etc.), then I power it and it's all.
The problem is with normal access point I can enter in the network with a normal wireless card (PCs or notebooks), I would like increase security making the network accessible only for routerboards devices.

You could just start using wireless security like WPA2 to keep other guys from connecting.

Strange behaviour: I used the settings found on a manual online for AP, I can connect through routerboards but I can't connect the notebook on the AP.

AP Routerboard:
Interfaces -> Radio1 selected:
Wireless: Mode = Ap-bridge
WDS: Mode = dynamic
WDS: Default bridge = bridge1

End point Routerboard:
Wireless: Mode = static
WDS: Default bridge = bridge1

I can connect PCs through routerboards, I can connect my notebook to SSID Mikrotik wireless connection (connected) but I can't ping anyone.
In AP Wireless Table -> Registration I can see all my endpoint routerboard with WDS = yes, then my notebook with WDS = no.
What's wrong?
