Tower and Mast Options

Fri Apr 11, 2008 12:01 pm

I want to place a few antennas on a hill that is about 1200 feet (365 meters) asl/agl.
I'd like to place the antennas (mostly panels) about 7' to 15' above ground.

Do you build/weld your own towers, or is there a good manufacturer out there that someone here can recommend?
Or maybe I can get away with an aluminum pipe serving as a mast?

If your looking for Towers Look up titan towers on google, Thats what i will be using for towers.. but for only 15 feet... I guess a pipe should work alright. http://www.rflinx.com/products/transmission-towers/ good luck. -jordan

for 7 to 15 feet just use galvanized pipe.
Or perhaps a pop-up mast.
Where in canada are you, as I may be able to recommend suppliers.

This project is in Panama (central america).

off topic:
However, we do run a (W)ISP in Winnipeg (downtown). The only MikroTik user I know of in the area (besides us) is HSC.
tgrand, email me please, rk @ rontec.net, I'd like to talk about peering and trading roof/tower space.

I'm not looking for a dealer. I'm looking for recommendations for specific products.
Getting the stuff delivered is the easy part - there are plenty of mail forwarding services.
