Lowest Tx Power setting?

Thu May 08, 2008 3:11 am

Hi Guys,

We have a VERY short link e.g. 500 metres but are using 29dB antennas due to the dual-pol and tight signal. We are wanting to turn the Tx power down very low, what is the lowest setting we can use on Mikrotik with R52's ?

Possibly down to -30 according to CLI.
TxPower ::= [-]Num
Num ::= -30..30 (integer number)
YMMV, play with it and let us know.

I don't think it goes below 5 dBm or maybe even a bit higher.
