Channel mapping for 3.65?

Sat May 31, 2008 1:23 am

We are running a link with 333 boards and XR3's in the US licensed 3.65 band. Mikrotik "sees" the channels on the card as 5.8 channels, then you downshift those to the correct 3.65 frequencies.

There are basically 3 available channels:

ChannelA 5765MHz --> 3658MHz 5/10MHz
ChannelB 5770MHz --> 3663MHz 20/10/5MHz
ChannelC 5775MHz --> 3668MHz 5/10MHz

Is there a way to only have the mikrotik look at those three channels when scanning/configuring? It would prevent mistakes and would probably lead to quicker train-ups.

thanks,

Randy

Have you tried adding those three 5G freq's to the Scan List?

I seen the XR3-3.7. I see we are not using the fully 3.65 spectrum. Cant we do this?

3655
3660
3665
3670

Is it because the conversion from 5ghz to 3.65ghz is off on why we cant use 2 20mhz channels? Or can we?

The XE# its only certified for the lower 3.65 - 3.675 band. SO you only have 25 mhz of space.

that means just 1 20 mhz channel

Interesting that it would only be certified for the lower 25Mhz, since it implements an open contention protocol (CDMA/CA).
