bad wireless connection after change of hardware

Mon Nov 17, 2008 1:57 pm

hallo,

i had stable wireless link with pings about 1ms and 20mbit bandwidth but i had to change the cpe-antenna on client site. so there is a new cpe-antenna with a new 411 routerboard and new wireless card (CM9). the hardware before was also a 411 routerboard with a cm9 wireless card.

then i manually cloned the settings and now the wireless link is terrible.

here some pings over the wireless link (before 99% 1ms)
10.0.0.2 64 byte ping: ttl=64 time=377 ms
10.0.0.2 64 byte ping: ttl=64 time=115 ms
10.0.0.2 64 byte ping: ttl=64 time=229 ms
10.0.0.2 64 byte ping: ttl=64 time=191 ms
10.0.0.2 64 byte ping: ttl=64 time=143 ms
10.0.0.2 64 byte ping: ttl=64 time=54 ms
10.0.0.2 64 byte ping: ttl=64 time=208 ms
10.0.0.2 64 byte ping: ttl=64 time=3 ms
10.0.0.2 64 byte ping: ttl=64 time=26 ms
10.0.0.2 64 byte ping: ttl=64 time=240 ms
10.0.0.2 64 byte ping: ttl=64 time=191 ms
at the moment fluctuating bandwidth from 100kbit till 2 mbit (tested with bandwidth test) :-(

here some info from monitor from client site

anybody an idea where the problem is? can it be that the new wireless card is broken?

thanks in advance!

so the wireless card is not broken. i have no idea what it can be.

since i changed the hardware the link is terrible. before it runs for 2 weeks with no problems. that doesnt make sense.

Over night the wireless link ist ok. Pings and Bandwidth are good.

Now the tx-ccq rx-ccq is about 80% before it was 30-40% ? I changed nothing!

Anybody an idea? Really strange ..
